My name is Jamila Keyani I’m 21, a Vegetarian, African American with some distant Native Ancestry. I was born in Brooklyn, New York but moved at the age of two to Virginia. From there I became an Army Brat and my family moved to Atlanta, Georgia when I was seven, Hawaii when I was 11, and Tacoma, Washington when I was 13. When I was 15 my mom decided to move back to New York and I’ve been back here ever since. Travel isn’t just a hobby for me it’s my lifestyle.
While in New York I started school at the College of Staten Island as a Biology major interested in Pre-Med to become a pediatrician. After my Freshman year I realized this wasn’t my passion and I switched to a double major in Political Science and Spanish Language. After a little research I switched again to International Studies with a minor in Political Science and Spanish Language. After my second year I became uninterested and unmotivated in school so I decided to leave and pursue my passion of travel.
In 2016 when I was only 20 I decided to pursue becoming a flight attendant. I left for training in Dallas TX when I was supposed to be finishing my junior year of college. I earned my wings Feb 29, 2016 and haven’t looked back since. I decided to travel every month since I’ve earned my wings which allowed me to spend my 21st birthday in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil a place I have dreamed of visiting since I was 13 years old. I have never felt more free, because travel is good for the soul. Follow my adventures and get a taste
